The Petersen Museum had advertised this month’s Cruise In as honoring the Ford Motor Company. They invited Ford owners and Ford Car Clubs to take part; and they did. From Model T’s to Model A’s, Woodies from the 40’s, classic Mustangs and Shelby Cobras, to the GT street racer. The turnout was large, especially considering the heavy overcast, and very appreciative of the wide variety of cars on display.
The Cruise In sponsor, O’Gara Coach, kept the crowd well supplied with coffee, bagels and a variety of shmears. While car model vendors did a booming business with models of different Ford models.
Not wanting to be left out of the whole Ford vibe and being the only Healey in attendance I did a slight modification to the hood nameplate on my car, which drew a lot of chuckles and good-natured laughs from the passerbys.
