Tech Session visit to Ellery Engel's auto body shop in Piru.

Kurt Tanner, noted Healey restorer, hosted a Tech Session on January 7, 2011 at his shop in Upland. The featured car being restored was an 1960 3000 BT7, which sold at the Barrett Jackson auction on January 21, 2011 for $55,000.

Photos of the United Artists Theatre car show in the early morning followed by the Tech Session at Peter Roses home followed by a drive through the local streets of La Canada. A great day was had by all.

This was a club event held at Raul's in Ontario, CA. Raul offers a wide variety of upholstery, carpet and trim services for cars and has special experience with Healeys. Many club members give them high marks for their superior work. It was preceded by Cars & Coffee in Irvine.

This Tech Session was organized and led by Ed Neumeyer at Don Fisher'a shop in Azusa. Ed supplied wheels, jigs and axels, if needed, to members building rocker race cars for CHW 2011.

New Year's morning, about 20 AHA members joined about 150 Hot Rods, Classics and Sports Cars near the Orange County Fair Grounds for a drive. We went a beautiful drive, south on PCH, east on Laguna Canyon to Irvine and on to Live Oak Canyon, past 4 corners and up Santiago Canyon to Jamboree and back. The day wrapped up with lunch at Marmalade Cafe in The District at Tustin Legacy.

The Tech session held on September 18, 2010 at Frank Monise’s new shop in Montclair was well attended by 22 members/spouses and 15 cars. Frank Monise led a discussion of lubricating Healey front wheel bearings. During the Tech session, Frank’s staff were judging our cars and awarded several trophies. Following the Tech session, many in the group drove to the Bulldog Pub for lunch. All in all, it was a great Healey day. Our thanks go out to Frank Monise & staff for hosting such a successful event!

Rendezvous 2010 Photos

In honor of Earth Day on April 18 we organized our uniquely British version, Positive Earth Day, a technical session where we explored the mysteries of ignition points, condensers, timing, etc. An approximate two hour session took place at Monise Motors in Pasadena.

Dozens of Healey enthusiasts and a couple friends of the marque gathered at Peter Roses for coffee and bagels, an excellent tech session on carburator tuning, a spirited drive though the canyons and finishing off with cold beer, barbecue, more cameraderie and laughs...
