LED Tail Lites - a solution for dim Healey tail lights and turn signals

This a is a possible solution for dim Healey (pre-3000) tail lights and turn signals:

Any Healey with just one set of rear red lights has a problem. The one light is used for stop, running and turn and with the poor light output and this is very unsafe. There were a couple of tailenders in the UK last year where cars following Healey drivers have sworn that they couldn't see the stoplights/turnlights on a 100 in bright sunlight. At night you might be able to see them but they are just not bright enough. The situation could be improved with an array of LEDS... and a company called Radiantz (http://www.radiantz.com/cart/index1.html?215.html&1) offers a product @ $75 a pair. The yellow LED ring is very bright and the red LEDs are two mode, bright and very bright for running and stop. The only slight problems are that the LED package does not fit under the standard Healey clear lens. You need a clear lens not red as the LEDs are yellow and red. The later model BJ8 conical lenses fit very well... not very concours though. The other problem is that you might need to incorporate a couple of resistors to slow down the flash rate.
