Yes, that is the incorrect engine paint.  In those days, it just couldn't be found.  No, that is not a beer in my hand.  It's an old can of Radar O'Reily's Grape Nehi my father brought back from The Big One, WW II!  I am happy to report that after 32 years, that engine is still running strong for Pete Swift in Newport Beach.
