Saturday - June 23 - Noon : HSR WEST will hold the So. Cal. Sports Car Festival at the Auto Club speedway in Fontana. Last year we had some spirited driving on the "Royal" course, using the banked oval and the infield road course. Cars will be parked inside the Speedway an a special designated atrea. Access to the garage and paddock is included with registration. Cost is $50/car w/2 persons which includes credentials for the weekend, reserved parking and lunchtime track touring. Touring will be at low to moderate speeds, with overtaking only if front car waives you by on the oval or infield straight. Helmets must be worn in open cars.( I think they will have loaners ???) Update 6/20
- Helmets (2000 and later-rated type) will be required for open top cars. HSR-West will not be providing helmets so you must bring your own or borrow one.
- Drivers meeting will take place at 11:30 AM at location to be advised at check in.
- Approximately 1/2 hour of track time is planned.
- There will be two groups, one for "spirited " driving with passing allowed if waved by on the straight, and another for those who want to do the standard parade (nose to tail) drive around the track.
