From the Vice President

Everyone has commented that Solvang Healey Week was a great success and from what I can tell was enjoyed by all.  The only glitch was that Peter Rose’s Healey and my Bugeye were tagged by someone on Saturday night with a magic marker (guess it does not pay to have a white car or panels).  Fortunately, we were able to remove it with the help of Maguire's polish and a lot of elbow grease; so all’s well that ends well.

It was great to see 17 Sprites there in celebration of the 60th Anniversary.  The disappointing issue was there was only one square-body Sprite and I guess I am part of the blame, I could have brought my '61 instead of my Bugeye.  I know there are several later-year Sprites in the club and my goal for next year's Healey week is to get more to attend.  If we get at least three to sign up I will try to get the board to add a category for them.

The November Club Event is the Orphans Car Show at the Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo on the 10th .  For you Orange County guys who did not have enough fun at the Healey Week Poker Run, we have added the San Diego British Car Council's Poker Rally in Escondido on the 17th.

Lastly, do not forget to sign up for the Annual Holiday Party on December 16th at the Shoreline Yacht Club.  This is always a great time for all.

We are actively seeking some new and different events for 2019, so if you know of a great event in your area that we can put on the calendar let me know.

See you at the events.
