Super Car Sunday - 7/7

Another cool morning as I head out to Pierce College and the “Marque” Sunday at SuperCar Sunday. This morning it’s going to be Ferrari and I expect the parking lot will get full real fast. When I arrive, Phil Caliva and Dexter Kaytis are already in place. The early arrival prompted by their desire to drive to Woodland Hills first and then drive the canyons to the coast and the car gathering at Paradise Cove.

This show is always interesting for the wide variety of cars that show up. It is even better when there is an interesting Marque being feted. Today was no exception. Many different body styles and years of the Ferraris on hand. And the open display area was full of really nice cars from a brass era taxi, to the custom coach building of the 30’s, to classic Europeans.

All too soon Phil and Dex were leaving and I made one more circuit of the show where I ran into Jack Gies and his daughter. Jack told me his car, which is running now, was at Ellery’s shop having some engine vents put in. After a little more chatting we said goodbye and I headed back to Glendale.
