New Zealand Tour

This is version 2 of our Healey “Bucket List” Trips, this time to New Zealand. The impetus for this trip was the biennial New Zealand Healey Rally in Nelson over Easter, from April 3rd through April 6 th , 2015.

We began planning about June of last year, when Ed Neumeyer began talking up the idea. This would be similar to our trip in 2013 to the European Healey Meet in Crieff, Scotland. Immediately, five couples who went to Scotland were in, Ed & Abbe Neumeyer, Steve & Cindy Kirby, Peter & Alexandra Roses (without their Healey) and Mike & Kathy Scroggie of the Austin Healey Association of Southern California and Terry Cowan & Lisa Mandell of the San Diego club.

With the addition of LeRae Phillips and Arthur Niell, Bob Farnsworth & his sister Joan Woods and Steve Gerow & Nancy Fees (who rode with Peter & Alexandra in their rental car), we had 16 people and 6 Healeys committed.
