Fall is here and the weather is cooling off, making our drives much more comfortable. It has been a very busy month with Yosemite Healey Week, the drives before and after YHW and finalizing the planning for CHW 2026. We are also finalizing our planning for our third annual Turkey Run.
Peter Roses is working up the drive details through the Angeles Forest to Wrightwood for a lunch time gathering. It looks like we will hold the drive the week before Thanksgiving this year- Stay tuned for more details. We also have a “tech session/ BS gathering” in the works where we visit Hema Ratnayake’s facility to checkout his amazing car collection then on to Lou’s shop to check out his amazing collections of cars and bikes as well. Will let you know when this adventure firms up.
Holiday Party- The planning for our annual Holiday party has been finalized and notification should have gone out. We will be hosting it at the Shoreline Yacht Club as we have in the past. The party is planned for Sunday, December 14th, so please mark your calendars. This is a great opportunity for our new members to meet other like-minded Healey fans and make connections for future technical and social events.
CHW 2026- CHW 2026 was announced at YHW 2025. You should have received the announcement through our email system. We have settled on San Diego at the Island Palms Resort and Marina on Shelter Island. CHW 2026 is planned for May 5th- 9th next year so check your calendars and go ahead and sign up. Steve Kirby has worked up a great venue and a great price for us. As with all of Steve’s planned activities, it will be a lot of fun. I hope to see you there.
