1967 phase 2 BJ8

Car for Sale: 1967 phase 2 BJ8

Original California two-owner car (GGAHC Member). In the same family for +/- 60 years.  72,000 original miles, interior replaced (could use new seat cushions), new tonneau, needs a new top. Original BMC AM radio. Great oil pressure. Matching numbers, no accidents or rust, chrome wire wheels and good Michelin tires, excellent chrome. Maintained by Collins Classics in San Mateo, CA and service records are available. Always garaged, paint in good condition, and all body seams are straight.  Engine bay detailed. Well cared for and gingerly used mostly for club events.

This is a clean great driver that needs a good home with a new steward who appreciates the care it has been given.  Available for inspection in San Francisco.  Prices for similar sales have been in the $50-$55,000 range over the past five years..

Suppa Sprite

1968 Square Body Sprite

Friend of Greg Aden’s who is moving to Indonesia and Singapore for a couple of years and after putting $30K of work into the car I really do not want seals and stuff to dry rot and leak again. I realize I will not get that back on the sale but I paid $11K when I bought it and would like to sell it for $15K.

The following is what was done by Sports and Collector Cars of Tempe. They have all the documentation since they did all the work.

1. All suspension and brakes are new front and rear.

2. A 3.52 Rear end was installed before the 5 speed to get lower RPMs on the freeway.

3. New U Joints

4. Rebuilt motor with mild cam and header.

5. Put the 2 SU carbs back on.

6. Oil Cooler

7. Added the 5-speed Rivergate conversion.

8. New Clutch, TO Bearing and Flywheel

9. New Exhaust to the rear

10. New Soft Top

11. New Tonneau Cover

12. New Soft Top Boot

13. All new LED headlights, tail and turn signal lights

14. Speedo was calibrated to match conversion. It is not perfect but within 5 MPH

15. Chrome wire wheels

Now it cruises the freeway at 2500 RPM 65-70 MPH. I have not touched the interior or the paint.  The car is at Sports and Collector Cars in Tempe on consignment while I am in Asia.

Clutch for Sale

For Sale - Clutch parts

I am sending photos of clutch parts. They are new, old stock. I think they are for a 100. I would like for them to find an AH that would be in need of them. A nominal fair offer will take them off my hands.  Rich Smirnoff at rich.smirnoff@cox.net
