Supercar Sunday 4/7

Today’s marque was Ferrari and I was hoping for fair weather and a nice turnout of cars.

The weather cooperated, the past few months the marque days have been rained out, but the Ferrari owners didn’t. When I Jirst arrived at Pierce College, a few minutes after 7am, there was only one classic Ferrari in the paddock. A 1967 convertible coupe belonging to club friend Sandy Bettleman.

It looked like I was going to be the only club member present also, until Fred Cohen arrived in his little Datsun rally car. There were still a lot of interesting cars to look at and after coffee and a breakfast burrito, I proceeded to do just that.

From the orange Edsel to the ’59 Caddy with an Elvis dummy, the late 30’s Chevy four-door sedan with all the bells and whistles, and the Bentley boattail roadster, just a lot of interesting iron.

Next month’s marque is classic muscle cars on Sunday May 5th.
