Wednesday the sun officially set at 4:43 PM, so all subsequent activities on that date happened in the dark--including the first Wednesday-of-the-month British Car Night at Belmont Shores scheduled for 6:00 PM.

A half-dozen souls braved the cold (mid-50os) weather and darkness to show off each's pride and joy, including a couple of Triumphs, a couple of MG's, a couple of Jaguars, and TWO Austin-Healeys. (I probably missed a car or two, sorry!) Representing our fine club were Paul Van Wig (masquerading as Santa Claus) in his bug-eye Sprite and myself (Jim Bennett) in my 3000 MKII. The evening terminated quickly, with most retiring to the local tavern/eating establishment, and the rest of us evaporating into the night.

Next month's scheduled car night will also occur in the darkness, and this means that another light crowd is anticipated. Let's see if the club membership can prove me wrong and show up enmasse?
