LA Cars and Coffee 2/22

Arrived at the Carousel parking lot in Griffith Park about 7:15. The lot was only half-full but the corner by the donut truck already had three Healey’s: Phil Caliva in his black over white BJ8, Monica and Clay Kaytis in his maroon over black 3000, and Peter Roses (first timer) in his Florida Green over white 100-6. I pulled in next to Phil, and as I was getting settled, we were joined by Dan Burrola in his pristine white BJ8.

Once everyone was finished with parking, wiping, and checking their cars, Corner Cottage breakfast burritos were passed out and greedily consumed by the group.

As the parking lot filled with cars and the number of spectators increased, it was time to check out the interesting cars on hand. Early model Mustangs were numerous and colorful, as was the dark cherry red pickup parked on the shoulder of the road. An older Chevy pickup was advertising buns and in a time-line tableau, a brass-era Albany was parked next to a Triumph TR3 highlighting a 50-year difference in design.

This is a fun show with both knowledgeable car nuts and classic car lovers. So join us the last Sunday of the month for cars, coffee, and considerable amounts of bull!
