2026 Healey Week Car Show

Attendees at this year’s Healey Week Car Show drove the short 4.4 miles from the Island Palms hotel on Shelter Island, along Harbor Drive to the scenic Embarcadero Marina Park North, early Friday morning. Commemorative photos were taken of the cars and drivers before they were directed to their parking spot for the 9:00 AM start of the People’s Choice Car show.

Once the 62 cars were in place at their proper location, as indicated by the new feather flags showing each category, they were provided with an oil drip diaper as required by the Port Authority. The morning progressed with lots of spectators stopping to admire the cars and ask question after question. The car show participants were moving from car to car trying to decide which car to vote for. About 11:30, preordered box lunches were delivered to the show.

After eating, finishing voting and cleaning up it was 1:00pm and the show was finished. Cars and drivers were then escorted out of the park to return to the hotel.

Special thanks to my crew that was up before sunrise and put the show field together in record time: Bob Bolling, Steve Heck, Clay Kaytis, Monica Lago-Kaytis, Steve Maggofin, Dan O’Neill, George McHarris, Russ Thompson, Tony Trentacost, and Don Benke. Special thanks to Harry Harami who volunteered to drive my Bugeye to the show and handled the diaper distribution.
